Cynthia Pyć is the founder and Principal Scientist at IBN Environmental & Geomatics. Cynthia brings over 28 years of experience working on all four coastlines of the continental U.S. and Canada – from the Canadian Beaufort to the Gulf of Mexico, the Atlantic seaboard from Nova Scotia to New York, and offshore Pacific Northwest, the Sunshine Coast and California. Since 2018, she has held Director level roles with two multinational offshore wind developers. Cynthia has also supported conventional energy projects onshore in Alberta and BC, as well as offshore Nova Scotia and the NWT, and in diverse international jurisdictions.

Cynthia’s expertise spans regulatory advocacy, strategic planning, environmental and social impact assessment, monitoring, permitting and compliance, emergency and incident management, science communication, Traditional Knowledge studies, and Indigenous rightsholder engagement. She holds a Master of Science in Resources and the Environment and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology, both from the University of Calgary.
