I arrived in Ottawa in August 2022 to lead the Science, Climate and Energy Team at the British High Commission. In my role I look to further UK interests by working in partnership with Canada across policy, academia, NGO and commercial stakeholders.
I have over 20 years experience working in the public sector largely on security policy and operations and considering how to apply systems principles to policy challenges. I have worked overseas for the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office in South Africa, Afghanistan and now Canada as well as various HQ roles. Prior to working at the FCDO, I worked at the UK’s Cabinet Office on Crisis and Emergency Management.
