Ericka Wicks is a seasoned leader in Canada’s energy transition landscape, currently serving as Regional Sector Lead for Energy Transition and Renewable Energy at Stantec where she supports energy transition strategy evolution, drives regional business development pursuits, and contributes technically to and manages projects. With over 15 years of experience at the intersection of energy management, sustainability, and economic development, Ericka brings a unique blend of strategic insight, technical expertise, and collaborative leadership to her work.

She is the Project Manager for the Atlantic Canada Offshore Wind Integration and Transmission Study, a first-of-its-kind initiative led by Net Zero Atlantic and delivered by Stantec in partnership with Energy and Environmental Economics (E3). The study is designed to assess the technical, economic, and policy pathways for integrating offshore wind into Atlantic Canada’s electricity grid. It spans four provinces—Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador—and aims to evaluate offshore wind resource potential, assess paths to market, identify optimal transmission configurations, and support coordinated planning for future deployment.

Prior to joining Stantec, Ericka held senior roles in national and regional non-profits focused on energy transition and economic development. She is known for her ability to bridge technical and policy domains and foster partnerships that drive meaningful change. At Stantec, she continues to lead multidisciplinary teams in delivering integrated solutions for a net-zero future.

Ericka is based in Montréal and is an avid board gamer, nature lover, and triathlete.
