Florian Lecorps is a senior consultant on renewable energy / biodiversity issues. He is currently Director of the Marine renewable energy Departement at Biotope (https://www.biotope.fr/), a French consultancy, founding member of Alliance for Nature (https://alliance-for-nature.com/). He is also non-executive Director of HiDef aerial surveying, a UK-based consultancy and international leader in high-resolution digital aerial offshore wildlife surveys (https://www.hidefsurveying.co.uk/).
With almost 20 years of experience, Florian has been involved in numerous onshore, offshore wind farms assessment, research programs, as well as nature conservation programs.
Deeply interested in the interaction between Renewable energy and biodiversity as well as in sharing knwoledge and solutions, Florian participates in several think tanks and working groups dealing with that area of expertise both in France and in Europe.
Since October 2023, Florian has chaired the organizing committee of the Conference on Wind energy and Wildlife impacts (CWW2025, September 2025 Montpellier), the largest and most influential international conference on Wind energy and Biodiversity.
