Gerald is a proud Nova Scotian, having been raised in a small rural fishing community. He is a Professional Engineer, who started is career with Mobil Canada on the Sable Offshore Energy Project before joining the Canadian Offshore energy regulatory for 8 years. Gerald has spent the last 13 years with SBM Offshore, responsible for Deep Panuke Project as Unit Manager, leading ThunderHawk, a Floating Oil production unit in the Gulf of Mexico, then leading the build of a new O&G training center in Guyana. Gerald has transitioned to SBM’s Innovation and Growth group, actively managing the Nova East Wind development while supporting projects in Namibia, Brazil, United States and Newfoundland.
