Jan has more than 15 year experience in the offshore wind business, from project development, tender management, project management to offshore installation works. He has been involved in more than 40 offshore wind projects and tenders worldwide and responsible for projects up to 1,9 billion USD turnover. Jan has been working in the emerging offshore wind markets in Europe and Asia. Jan also started 7 years ago the business development for US Offshore Wind market, establishing the company DEME Offshore US LLC. This company is now a major contractor in the US offshore wind field, located in Boston MA and Norfolk VA, employing dozens of American employees in several US states and ports. DEME Offshore is partnering with companies for the development of local content, Jones Act compliant and novel feeder concepts, port & logistics, support vessels, and installation scenarios for offshore energy projects. DEME Offshore in North America is also operating out of Canadian ports and involved in Canadian offshore energy projects.
Jan is the Business Unit Director for Americas, President of DEME Offshore US LLC and Board member of DEME Offshore, Oceantic and member of ACP.
