Jennifer Stucker, PhD is a Senior Research Biologist , ornithologist, and Offshore Wind Lead for WEST. With 10 years of experience, she designs and manages pre- and post-construction monitoring, including compliance efforts at terrestrial and offshore facilities and assists clients and agencies in designing novel—but practical—approaches for unusual natural resource and wildlife assessment challenges. With substantial experience with birds and bats at land-based wind facilities too, her coastal and offshore experience includes work in the Great Lakes, the Atlantic, and Gulf of Mexico. She has managed multiple projects focused on minimizing bat collision using curtailment strategies and deterrents, and was the Principal Investigator for a US DOE funded validation trial of a collision detection system for turbine blades. She has experience from front-end engineering through operational compliance.
