Nadine Bernard is the award-winning Founder and CEO of Indigevisor Ltd., an Indigenous-owned consulting firm based in We’koqma’q, Unama’ki (Cape Breton, NS). With over 18 of experience, Nadine is a trusted advisor and strategist on Indigenous procurement, benefit plans, and rights-holder engagement. She has led and contributed to projects across the public and private sectors, including infrastructure builds totaling over $1.4 billion. Her work ensures Mi’kmaw and Indigenous perspectives are embedded from vision to implementation.
Key Accomplishments
- Developed and implemented Indigenous Benefits Plans (IBPs) and procurement inclusion strategies on major infrastructure projects including the $1.4B Defense related Infrastructure project, Cape Breton Regional Hospital Redevelopment, and the Atlantic Science Enterprise Centre (ASEC)
- Advised on the development of Indigenous Procurement Program with a National Economic Development Organization and supported numerous Indigenous owned businesses to become federal vendors
- Completed numerous in-depth Reconciliation Evaluations with both private and public organizations and developed reports to ensure organizations could continue their Reconciliation journey
