Dr. Courbis has been working in marine science and regulation for 30 years. She focuses on marine protected species, particularly marine mammals, and specializes in impact assessment, permitting and compliance, and mitigation. She is a principal environmental scientist with EPI Group. Her work in offshore energy includes siting and planning, environmental impact assessment, stakeholder engagement, permitting, development of practicable mitigation, application of technologies to compliance, and scientific support to trade organizations. She has been working in marine renewables for over a decade and has authored or co-authored over 80 technical reports, presentations, and publications.
