With Nova Scotia’s first offshore wind Call for Bids targeted for 2026 as part of the province’s goal to license 5 GW of offshore wind by 2030, recent awards supporting 15 MW of tidal energy development in the Bay of Fundy, significant federal and provincial policy advancements, and a growing number of strategic Memorandums of Understanding, the pieces are falling into place for marine renewables in Canada.

Marine Renewables Canada (MRC) is at the heart of this momentum as the country’s only national industry association advocating for offshore wind, tidal, wave, and river current energy. Since 2004, we have worked with our members to advance Canada’s marine renewable energy sector and help them seize opportunities in this growing global market.

Meeting in the nation’s capital provides a unique opportunity to convene at the centre of federal decision-making, at a time when conversations about Canada’s energy future and electricity strategy have never mattered more.

We look forward to welcoming more than 600 Canadian and international delegates to The Westin Ottawa for three full days of programming, with 30+ member workshops, industry and research & technical sessions. The program will offer opportunities to share deep knowledge, explore the sector’s most pressing issues and emerging developments, and build the right relationships.

And, of course, there will be plenty of opportunities to network, shake hands, and have meaningful conversations along the way.

We look forward to seeing you there!
