Chad Fowlow is a professional engineer with over 30 years of experience in the energy sector and is the founder and CEO of Angler Solutions Inc., a St. John’s-based consulting firm helping its clients navigate the energy transition across renewable energy, energy diversification, ocean technology, and upstream resources. Angler’s services range from techno-economic analysis and feasibility studies to full project execution, supported by MESO, Angler’s proprietary software platform for modelling and optimizing hybrid, diversified energy systems.
His project experience spans oil and gas, offshore electrification, onshore and offshore renewables, blue and green hydrogen, carbon capture and storage, marine decarbonization, and ocean technology, with work delivered across Atlantic Canada and internationally. Chad was a co-founding principal and director of Frontier Subsea Inc. and has held senior roles with offshoreoil and gas operators, Tier 1 EPC’s and research organizations, providing technical and project management expertise.
Chad holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering (1996) and a Master of Engineering in Ocean & Naval Architectural Engineering (2007), both from Memorial University, and is a registered Professional Engineer with PEGNL (Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador).
