Dr. Krishnaveni Balakrishnan is a Project Manager and Senior Structural Engineer at EXP Services Inc., with over 15 years of experience specializing in marine infrastructure and floating offshore wind (FLOW) development. She brings expertise in port planning, port upgradation, structural design, waterfront structures, and offshore wind integration, with a strong focus on both fixed-bottom monopiles and mooring analysis of floating platforms. She has supported initial pre-FEED studies for large-scale offshore wind projects along the United States Pacific Coast, as well as in Taiwan and India, where she has led feasibility studies, concept selection, and multidisciplinary coordination. She also led the deployment of a LiDAR-based offshore monopile platform in Gujarat, India, supporting wind resource assessment in challenging seabed conditions within a seismic marine environment.Dr. Balakrishnan holds a Ph.D. in Floating Offshore Wind Structures from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and is an active contributor to industry research, with publications on mooring systems and shared anchor concepts for floating offshore wind turbines.
