Dr. Ogban is a Senior Energy Systems Engineer and technical leader at Angler Solutions Inc. He is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registered with the Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland & Labrador (PEGNL) and a Certified Energy Manager (CEM). He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Memorial University of Newfoundland. He has over 15 years of experience in the techno-economic modelling of renewable energy and energy storage technologies, energy systems optimization, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis, concept evaluation, and project management. He has led and managed multi-technology hybrid energy systems projects and has contributed to numerous research and development initiatives spanning renewable energy and energy transition.
At Angler Solutions, Peter leads a team of engineers building and validating techno-economic and dispatch optimization models across wind, hydropower, pumped storage, hydrogen carrier pathways, battery storage, and compressed air energy storage. He leads the development of MESO (Model for Energy Systems Optimization), Angler’s in-house platform for techno-economic and hybrid energy systems analysis.
